New Park Place Co-Working Hub Opens as Cardiff’s Desg Welcomes New Co-Owner

One of Cardiff’s fastest-growing co-working brands, Desg, is opening a brand-new location in the heart of the city this week — and has announced a new business partner, local property developer Miles Davies, who joins as co-owner and director.

Set to open its doors on April 7th, the new Desg Park Place site follows a major refurbishment and marks the company’s fourth location in Cardiff. The new workspace will offer a mix of private offices, hot desks, co-working memberships, meeting rooms, breakout spaces, and modern amenities including showers, kitchen/bar areas, and on-site parking.

Desg was founded in 2020 by well-known Cardiff estate agent Ross Hooper-Nash, with a vision to create stylish, community-driven office spaces that suit the way modern businesses and freelancers work. Since launching the first Desg site at Penhill Road, the company has grown rapidly, now home to more than 50 businesses across its locations.

“Cardiff is full of brilliant businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives — and we’ve built Desg to give them a space that works for how people live and work today,” said Hooper-Nash. “Park Place is our most ambitious location yet, right in the heart of the city, and we’re proud to be opening our doors to new members.”

Joining the Desg team is Miles Davies, a Cardiff-based property developer and long-time business partner of Hooper-Nash. The two previously co-founded Ventura Properties in 2019 and have worked together on several successful developments across South Wales.

“Desg has built a brilliant reputation, and the opportunity to join forces made perfect sense,” said Davies. “We’ve already added St Andrew’s Crescent to the portfolio, and Park Place is a big next step. There’s strong demand for quality co-working spaces in the city, and we’ve got exciting plans to grow even further.”

The Desg offering has proven especially popular with Cardiff’s small business, tech, and creative communities. Its locations combine professional office space with wellbeing features like gym access, community events, and social areas — all designed to foster connection and productivity.

“We wanted to create a proper grown-up office space — no ping pong tables, just stylish, functional environments where people enjoy coming to work,” added Davies. “There’s even a bar upstairs for after-work drinks.”

Current Desg sites include:

  • Penhill Road: home to a dog-friendly co-working community, gym, bar, and wellness classes

  • Cathedral Road: private offices with communal kitchens and showers

  • St Andrew’s Crescent: private offices, meeting rooms, and parking

  • Park Place (opening April 7): fixed offices, hot desks, bar/kitchen, and full amenities

“It’s been five years since we opened our first site, and we’re only just getting started,” said Hooper-Nash. “Desg is all about giving Cardiff businesses spaces where they can grow — and we’re proud to keep doing that, right here in the city we love.”
