Greenmeadow Community Farm, located just 34 minutes drive from Cardiff in Torfaen, is launching a new farm-to-fork dining destination this September as part of a major refurbishment project.
The new restaurant, The Farmer’s Table, is being delivered in partnership with national catering experts BaxterStorey and features a 90-seat dining area in a newly built oak-beamed conservatory. The restaurant promises a strong emphasis on seasonal and local ingredients sourced from Welsh producers, such as Douglas Willis butchers and local dairies.
Visitors can expect an all-day menu ranging from hearty breakfasts to fresh pizzas and Welsh beef burgers, with a takeaway counter and relaxed café spaces also on offer – all accessible without paying for farm entry.
BaxterStorey will also manage hospitality services for events at the newly upgraded Haybarn venue on-site, offering everything from charcuterie boards to bespoke seasonal menus.

Jac Griffiths, General Manager at Greenmeadow Community Farm, said:
“It was really important to us that the food and drink on offer at the farm was reflective of our values around seasonality, with well-sourced produce and a menu with something that everyone could enjoy.”
Daryl Williams, BaxterStorey’s Operations Manager, said:
“We’re proud to be working alongside Greenmeadow Community Farm, which shares our love for great food and strong community connections.”
Councillor Fiona Cross, Executive Member for Communities, added:
“The Farmer’s Table will be open to everyone, not just farm visitors, so it will become a real favourite for residents wanting to catch up for coffee and a cake with friends or a special dining experience.”
Greenmeadow Community Farm reopens Saturday 13 September.
