Cardiff salon owner Casey Coleman has been crowned the winner of the Image Award at one of the hairdressing industry’s most influential competitions, Creative HEAD’s Most Wanted Awards 2025.
Casey’s striking winning image captivated the judging panel and triumphed over fierce competition from talented artists across the UK and Ireland.

Hosted at London’s iconic Drumsheds venue, the star-studded event welcomed more than 550 guests from across the worlds of hair, beauty, fashion and media. Comedian Lou Sanders hosted the ceremony, with DJ Phoenix Brown (daughter of Spice Girl Mel B) taking to the decks for the legendary after-party.
“This look took months of planning and precision,” says Casey. “It started as a creative challenge to push myself further than before, three months of making wigs, hairpieces, and refining every braid. The image represents fun, freedom, and the love I have for creating hair art.”
During his acceptance speech, Casey reflected on his journey in the industry, sharing words that resonated with the crowd: “A winner is just a loser that tried one more time.”
Creative HEAD’s Amanda Nottage, Editorial Director, praised Casey’s winning image, saying:
“This look is XXL for all the right reasons – it’s got all the length, all the contrast, all the high drama. No wonder it stopped the judges in their tracks. The perfect example from Casey of the power of a single image.”
The Most Wanted Awards, established 25 years ago, celebrate innovation and talent in British and Irish hairdressing across 12 categories that reflect the creativity, community, and forward-thinking spirit of the industry today.
