Orbis Education and Care has a whopping 22 teams and staff members shortlisted for accolades at the Welsh regional Great British Care Awards on November 5th.
The nominations include five colleagues from three Orbis homes shortlisted for the Frontline Leader award, four from separate homes for the Care Home Worker award.
There are three nominated in the Care Home Registered Manager category for home managers at Cartref Mynydd in Pontarddulais, The Old Vicarage in Newport and Ty Galan and Ty Dyffryn in Porth.
There are also nominations for the Care Home Teams at Awel Y Mor in Saundersfoot and Cartref Mynydd. Shayla Harris of Ty Galan in Porth and Sean Jones in Dan y Coed in Swansea have been shortlisted for the Care Newcomer award, while Patience Ogbodo, Kimberly Morris and Ann Lindsay, all support workers at Cartref Mynydd have been shortlisted for the Home Care Worker, Putting People First and Dignity in Care awards respectively. Roz Goss of Dan y Coed has also been shortlisted for the Ancillary Worker award.
The Great British Care Awards are a celebration of excellence across the care sector in the UK. It holds regional awards which pays tribute to people who have demonstrated excellence in their field of work.

The Welsh regional final of the Great British Care Awards takes place at The Marriott in Cardiff on November 5th.
