There’s something about arriving at a festival with your whole family in tow — that mix of excitement, nerves, and the hope that everyone will find something they love. In It Together Festival didn’t just meet those hopes; it completely surpassed them. From the moment we stepped onto the site it felt like we’d walked into a vibrant little world built for families, music lovers, and anyone who just wants to soak up a good atmosphere.
We didn’t camp this year, but we took a proper wander past the camping areas out of curiosity. The family campsite especially stood out: spacious, calm, clean, and clearly designed with real families in mind. It was reassuring to see how close it was to the car park and how well the facilities were maintained. Even though we weren’t staying overnight, it gave us a sense of how much thought had gone into making the festival accessible and comfortable for all ages.
A Non‑Stop Playground of Activities
What struck me almost immediately was how alive the festival felt. Not chaotic — just full of energy, colour, and things happening everywhere you looked. With three kids aged 13, 11 and 4, we’re used to at least one of them being bored at any given moment. But here? Not once.
We’d barely been on site ten minutes before the kids were dragging us in three different directions. The older two were instantly pulled towards the action-packed zones the funfair, rave tents, stalls and food They were in their element, darting between activities with that kind of festival freedom that makes them feel grown-up but still safely contained.
Meanwhile, our youngest was completely enchanted by the children’s areas. She danced her heart out at Disco Kids, watched a dinosaur animatronics show, joined in science experiments in the “Mischief Mayhem” tent, and proudly showed off her balloon creations. Every time we thought she might be flagging, she’d spot something else — a Frozen singalong, a craft tent, a bubble performer — and off she’d go again.
What I loved most was that everything felt genuinely inclusive. No extra charges, no long queues, no “you’re too young for this” or “you’re too old for that”. Just a festival that understood families and catered to them naturally.

Entertainment Everywhere You Turned
It wasn’t just the kids’ zones buzzing with activity. The whole site felt like a patchwork of little experiences stitched together. We stumbled across samba drumming, circus workshops, medieval performers and comedy shows.
The outdoor cinema became a little oasis for us — a chance to sit down, breathe, and let the kids recharge with popcorn while we regrouped. And the wellness area was a lovely surprise. I managed to sneak into a sound bath session while the kids were happily occupied, and it was the perfect reset in the middle of the festival chaos.
Even the Oktoberfest tent had a family-friendly vibe during the day, with parents dancing alongside toddlers. It was impossible not to smile.
Food That Actually Works for Families
Festival food can be hit or miss, but In It Together nailed it. The food court was huge, with stalls offering everything from wood‑fired pizza and loaded fries to curries, wraps, fresh salads, vegan options, and sweet treats. The smells alone were enough to make you hungry again even after you’d just eaten.
What made it even better was how easy it was to cater to everyone’s tastes. No arguments, no compromises — the kids could each pick something different, and we could still sit together and enjoy it. Everything we tried was freshly cooked, good quality, and although pricey, was surprisingly reasonably priced for a festival.
A Safe, Welcoming Atmosphere
As a parent, one of the biggest things I look for at events like this is how safe it feels — and In It Together absolutely delivered. Security was visible everywhere, but in a reassuring, friendly way rather than an intimidating one. Staff were approachable, helpful, and clearly used to working with families.
The site layout made sense, the walkways were wide, and even during the headline sets, we never felt overwhelmed or unsafe. It’s the kind of environment where you can actually relax, knowing your kids are in a secure space.
Water stations were available throughout, which due to the heat was very much needed!

The Music: The Heartbeat of the Weekend
And then there was the music — the part that ties everything together. The sound quality across all stages was excellent, and the atmosphere during the headline sets was electric.
Madness kicked off the weekend with pure joy. There’s something timeless about their music, and watching families dance together felt like a festival rite of passage.
Aitch brought a completely different energy on Saturday — high‑octane, confident, and exactly the kind of performance that had the teens buzzing long after he left the stage.
Snow Patrol closed the festival with the kind of emotional, soaring set they’re known for. When Chasing Cars started, the whole crowd seemed to pause and breathe together. It was one of those moments that stays with you.
The supporting acts Feeder, DJ Sammy, Natalie Imbruglia and more — kept the momentum going all weekend. There was always something worth watching, no matter what time of day it was.
Final Thoughts
In It Together Festival has managed to do something rare: create a space where adults, teens, tweens and little ones all feel equally catered for. It’s not just a music festival — it’s a full weekend experience, thoughtfully designed and brilliantly executed.
We left tired, happy, sun‑kissed, and already talking about next year. It’s the kind of event that gives you memories you didn’t even realise you needed.
If you’re looking for a festival that blends world‑class music with a warm, safe, family‑friendly atmosphere, In It Together deserves a place on your calendar. It’s more than a festival — it’s a celebration of being together, and we felt that in every moment.
