Christmas in Bridgend – Christmas Window Competition
Bridgend Traders Forum are going to run a Christmas window competition this year with the winning display getting the prize of winners shield which we will engrave each year with the winner. The competition will be judged between Monday 21st and Thursday 24th November and the winner announced on Saturday 26th November during the Christmas event in town – See below.
All you need to do is dress your window for Christmas by Monday 21st November and email us to let us know you want to be involved in the competition – email info@bridgendtraders.com
Christmas Parade and Lights Turning on Event
BCBC have funded and commissioned epm Creative Events to deliver an event on Saturday 26th November.
The event will consist of Bridge FM coming into town with their stage form 12 noon on the day, music across town and some childrens characters walking the streets. Then parade stating at 3.30pm at the Bridge FM stage and ending back there for Santa to turn on the Town Centre Christmas lights and the Town Council Christmas Tree.

Digital Christmas
Over the festive season the BCBC will be using the ‘Spend Christmas in your town centre’ brand to encourage people to visit their local town centre to shop, socialise and celebrate.
To help communicate the message there will be:
• Radio adverts on Bridge FM
• Magazine adverts
• Social media posts
• Posters in shop windows
• A free town centre parking offer is also in place
• Dedicated Christmas events page on the council website.
To specifically support town centre businesses, Bridgend County Borough Council is offering businesses the chance to advertise promotional offers on a ‘Digital Christmas’ website, which is FREE to businesses in Bridgend, Porthcawl & Maesteg town centres.
EPM creative will run the website from Saturday 12th November 2022 to Thursday 5th January 2023 inclusive. As part of the promotion of the website EPM are offering businesses a FREE entry on the We Love Bridgend app for the promotional period (12/11/22 – 05/01/23).
