Also, waste and recycling collections will be carried out as normal up to and including Friday 23 December.
There will be no collections on Saturday 24 December (Christmas Eve), Sunday 25 December (Christmas Day) or Monday 26 December (Boxing Day). Collections due the week of 26 December will be collected one day later than usual until they return to normal from Monday 2 January.
Residents can put out one extra waste bag for their first refuse collection after Christmas Day.
Kier will also have an additional vehicle out to collect extra cardboard – if yours isn’t collected with other recycling, the crew will come back to collect it later.
Keep an eye on the council’s website and social media channels in the coming weeks for information on how you can dispose of festive waste such as your turkey carcass, Christmas tree, wrapping paper and more.
