The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales Celebrate Triple Success at 2025 M&IT Awards

Two of Wales’ leading hospitality and events brands — The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales — are celebrating after securing three finalist positions at the prestigious 2025 M&IT Awards.

Often described as the Oscars of the business meetings and events industry, the M&IT Awards are highly regarded for recognising excellence across the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) sector. This year, The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales have been shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Best Hotel Brand – The Celtic Collection

  • Best UK Hotel – Celtic Manor Resort

  • Best UK Conference Centre – ICC Wales

These nominations highlight the ongoing strength of Cardiff, Newport, and the wider South Wales region as premier destinations for business tourism and events. The awards are voted for by MICE professionals, making the recognition a strong endorsement of service excellence and industry leadership.

The Celtic Manor Resort, located just outside Cardiff, continues its long-standing tradition of excellence, having already secured the Best UK Hotel accolade an impressive ten times previously. Known for its luxury accommodation, championship golf courses, and world-class event spaces, Celtic Manor remains a cornerstone of Wales’ hospitality offering.

Meanwhile, ICC Wales has cemented its reputation as one of the UK’s top conference centres. After winning the Silver Award for Best UK Conference Centre for the past two years, the venue has once again been named a finalist in the same category for 2025.

The Celtic Collection brand itself, which includes a growing portfolio of experience-led hotels and venues across Wales and beyond, is competing alongside international heavyweights such as Four Seasons, Hilton, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, and Melia Hotels for the Best Hotel Brand award.

Julie Hammond, Group Chief Executive Officer of The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to see our venues and team recognised once again by our peers and clients in the industry. These nominations reflect our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for event organisers and guests alike. We’re grateful to everyone who voted for us, and we’re excited to celebrate with the best in the industry at the M&IT Awards later this year.”

The winners will be revealed at the M&IT Awards ceremony in London on 19 September, where hundreds of business event professionals from across the UK and internationally will gather to celebrate the sector’s top performers.
