Bridgend council were saddened to learn of the passing of former Mayor Mary Griffiths Jones, known as Mari.
Dedicated to the community Mari previously represented the ward of Llangynwyd and was Mayor of Bridgend County Borough between 2007 and 2008.
Making the final journey from her home in Llangynwyd, Mari’s funeral service will be held at St Ceitho’s Church, Llangeitho, Tregaron on Wednesday 29th March at 1pm.
The council has sent its condolences to Mari’s family and friends.
