Party on the Pitch at Kenfig Hill
A highlight of the annual Kenfig Hill and Pyle festival week is the fun packed ‘party on the pitch’ that will take place at Croft Goch playing fields in Kenfig Hill this Saturday 24th June from 12.30pm.
Featuring fun fair rides, a classic car show, live music, food and much more, admission to the event, organised by Pyle Community Council, is free.
Party on the Pitch will be opened at 12.30pm by Owen Money MBE, BBC Radio Wales presenter, musician and comedian.
Two new gardens in Cefn’s annual open gardens for charity this Sunday
Two new gardens in Heol Goedog will be open to the public for the first time this year, in the annual Cefn Open gardens charity event, this Sunday 25th June, from 11.00am to 5.00pm.
Visit an artist’s garden, a chapel garden, a bog garden, a water garden, a rustic garden, allotments and lots more all on our doorstep.
Start your tour at Cefn Community Centre (the Green Hall) where you buy your ticket for admission to all the gardens, can get a cuppa, a slice of homemade cake and check out local crafts and the plant sale.
Part of the national open garden scheme, all funds raised by the tickets are donated to charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Hospice UK, Carers Trust and Parkinson’s UK.

Tickets are £5 for adults and give admission to all gardens open in Cefn, and it’s free for children.
Thanks to members of the Glamorgan Iron Horse Vintage Society there will also be free tractor rides (included in the admission price) between all the gardens.
