Bridgend’s Love2Walk Festival returns with a variety of events

Walkers of all ages and abilities are being invited to explore various picturesque locations throughout the county borough as the annual Love2Walk Festival (17-27 June 2023) returned on the weekend.

The free annual walking festival, organised by Bridgend County Borough Council in partnership with the Local Access Forum and a team of volunteers, calls on local residents to lace up their walking boots to enjoy a programme of walks that range in difficulty whilst often including some historical tales along the way.

There are walks planned right across the county borough and include locations such as Blackmill, Blaengarw, Bridgend, Porthcawl, Rest Bay and Kenfig.

Each walk is led by a knowledgeable and experienced guide who will help walkers brush up on their local history knowledge and point out areas of interest along the way.

Walks vary from easy to challenging and those taking part are reminded to keep safe by dressing appropriately, following the Countryside Code and ensuring they keep fed and hydrated.

A full list of walks is available on the Love2Walk website.
